Please also let us know if we're handling your DNS and email. If we are handling your DNS, please go to your registrar's site, and make sure that your nameservers for your domain are defined as ns1.geekizoid.net and ns1.lrsehosting.net. You may also add ns2.geekizoid.net and ns1.vegdot.org as slave DNS entries. If you do not want us to handle your DNS, and you are signing up for either static hosting, or a scoop site, please add an A record that points your domain at 69.55.238.31. For Slash, set it to 69.55.238.52. Contact us for Xaraya setup instructions. Okay, I've activated my subscription in PayPal, how long before my site is setup?Typically, you will be setup within two business days. Note that this doesn't mean you will be able to see your site by then - usually you can, however if you're just moving here from another host, and your TTL is set too long on your DNS, it can take the length of time your TTL is set to for the rest of the net to catch up. 95% of our customers have had visibility within 5 minutes of switching.I have a slash site, and when I post a story, change a var, add a slashbox, change a graphic, etc. etc. etc. updates are not instant. Why is that?Welcome to the wonderful world of slash! This is a question best asked of the Slashcode team. Try to remember, that the way slash is written revolves around slashdot. They write the software to work in a variety of environments, but their environment is one giant cluster running ONE site. Slash updates frequently, but pretty much only comment posting is instant.
